BE Academy is the training arm of British Engineers, a security and engineering company that has been operating professionally across Greater Manchester for over a decade.
British Engineers installs and maintains security systems for homes and businesses. Doing that work every week, we kept meeting the same problem: there is real demand for trained CCTV installers, but very few ways to learn the job properly without already being in the trade.
BE Academy exists to close that gap. We built a workshop in Manchester specifically for training, with the same specification of equipment we use on commercial installations, and designed a three-day course that takes a complete beginner to someone who can design, install, configure and hand over a system to a paying customer.
The CCTV installation course is the first programme in a planned series covering the most in-demand skills in the UK security industry.
Around 80% of the course is practical. You drill, mount, terminate, configure and fault-find on professional equipment, not on a slideshow.
The group size is a deliberate decision, not a marketing line. Six means your trainer can give each person real individual attention all day.
Every technique on the course has been used on real residential and commercial jobs across Greater Manchester, so what you learn is current.

We cannot place you in a job and will not suggest otherwise. We give you the skills, a certificate that evidences them, and a clear plan for your first install.
Training takes place at Unit 1, 116 Broughton Lane, Manchester, M7 1UF. The workshop is set up specifically for this programme, with training rigs where you will drill, mount, cable and configure real systems.
Courses run from 10:00 to 16:00 over three days, in groups of six. Full travel and parking details are sent when your booking is confirmed.
